Rasulullah SAW shallallahu'alaihi never hit
anything with his hands, not his wife or his aides. He only hit when the fight
in Allah. (Narrated by Muslim, 2328). This is also can be applied in educating
your child. If you want to correct behavior or by using encouragement and
motivation. If these words are either no effect, we use reprimands and threats
according to the child's fault. If this is not useful as well, then you can
take the punishment that are educating children in accordance with the
conditions of nature. Do not use physical punishment against children, because
corporal punishment (hitting) will only damage the child mentally. If forced to
use a blow, hit them occasionally, do not do the beating continuously.
There are several ways to educate children well and
according to the Shari'a
1.
You simply
with eye cues to punish and reprimand. This eye cues provide a strong influence
on him and stop the cause of the mistake he did.
2.
Turned away
from the child when the child makes a mistake, Insya Allah, the child will
immediately understand your point and stop from his mistakes.
3.
Use good
words when reprimanding a child error
4.
When the
child does not want to be conscious but with hard punches and abuse. So for
kids like this type, we do apply a beating and loud. However, according to need
and not just make it a habit. Just as a doctor who gave him an injection to the
patient although it was painful injections but the injections were limited to
levels of disease course. You must remember, Islam permits be harsh to the
child's parents (hit) if the child is lazy to worship.
As the amplifier about this problem, let us
study about the dangers of punishing a child by force. Canadian researchers
examined the relationship between psychological disorders with a punch, but not
including other physical or sexual abuse because it is limited to measuring the
impact of physical punishment alone. People who get a punch or a slap as a
child at risk of mental disorders have higher when adults, including mood,
anxiety disorders, as well as alcohol and drug abuse. People who are beaten or
slapped around age two to seven years more at risk of mental problems later in
life, said the results of the study in the journal Pediatrics, is based on a
retrospective survey of more than 600 U.S. adults.
