Is
it true that music can make smart your baby? This is still confusing opinion
among experts, because in fact no single study which ensures that the music you
listen to the fetal brain is able to make your child smarter or make a genius.
"There are no studies on the effects of stimulation before birth on
intelligence, creativity , or later development, "says Janet DiPietro, a
developmental psychologist WHO fetal development studies at Johns Hopkins
University in Baltimore, Maryland. (babycenter.com).
There
are studies showing that the fetus / unborn baby may react to the sound of the
voice or the moves. They found that music helps better growth in premature
infants, where the songs are still played in this premature infant for 40
minutes every day, and within 4 days to check the music is played premature
babies increase their weight, the heart beats stronger than those who do not
listen to music. In 1992, Shahidullah and Hepper do some research by listening pure
tones at 250-500Hz for 400 fetus when the fetus are 16 week in the womb. The
results show the significance of the ability to hear the baby was 8 weeks
faster than the development of a perfect sense of hearing at week twenty fourth.
But
other experts argue that no one knows for sure what the meaning of the movement
of the baby while listening to music, whether a baby should feel pleased or
annoyed, because the ahlipun can not examine an unborn baby as easily as
possible after birth.
But
clearly, we all know that music, sometimes can provide a sense of calm and
relaxed on someone. As well as the music,
it can help pregnant women to be more relaxed, calm and will indirectly have a
positive influence for the baby in her womb. This will facilitate a relaxed
state of maternal and fetal blood circulation through the placenta. Fetal heart
rate will follow the heartbeat synchronization with the mother as the source of
the first music that heard by fetus in the womb. This balance must be
maintained from the stress, both physically and psychologically, so that the
fetus is not impaired for growth in the uterus and complications for pregnant
women during pregnancy to childbirth for the mother.
