Calories and Energy Balance
We have to balance about the number of calories in the amount of energy we spend.

If the number of calories is greater than the energy that we spend, we will overweight. Besides the amount, the composition must be

balanced as karbohidrat is

about 60-70%, 10-15% as protein, fat as much as 20-25%, vitamins and minerals (A, D, E, K, B, C, and Ca).

Everyone needs calories each day. In general, the minimum calories you need the calories you need to live, breathe, heart pumping, cell metabolism, kidney function, and so-called RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate). Muscle cell requires calories even when at rest. Outside RMR, you still need calories for activity such as eating, drinking, standing, sitting, talking, working, and more.

Measure Calorie Requirement

It is not easy to determine individual calorie needs accurately. To do so, you must go to the health clinic, or hospital. Instead, you can estimate the number of calories you need each day.

If we use the equation of Mifflin-St. Joer:
Weight 9.99 kg X X + 6:25 cm height - 4.92 X age.
If the man, result plus 5, the result is reduced if women 161.
For example, a woman weighing 50 kg, height 170 cm, age 25 years.
9.99 x 50 + 6.25 x 170 - 4.92 x 25-161 = 1278 calories

That number could be larger or smaller than actual size. To burn more calories, you can do physical activities such as running.

There is one component of food that is often forgotten. Fiber, which is very good for improving digestive function, reduce blood sugar and cholesterol changes after meals and helps remove cancer-causing substances produced by bacteria in the colon.

Remember, nutrient limitation due to the imbalance of food that is consumed resulting in less nutrients your body. If you are deficient in nutrients, then we will be impaired health that will eventually lead to disease.
