Selective about your food


Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reports that 48 million Americans each year are infected with bacteria, viruses or other pathogens from contaminated food. Nearly 150 thousand people were taken to hospital and 3,000 people died. Some sources say that the number is actually more than expected by CDC. The spread of germs through the meat and poultry account for 30% of the total causes of infection, and according to the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), 40% of the food below has the potential to cause infection. Right processing and cooking is highly recommended because it can reduce the risk significantly, but it does not guarantee you will always be protected from contamination. This is the food that you need to look at in terms of processing and cooking.
1.      Ice cream
Outbreaks of food poisoning can occur when contaminated pasteurized milk yield with less milk or unpasteurized. Ice cream making machine that is not cleaned regularly can also be a growth of bacteria.
2.      Tomatoes

6.      Tuna
