Healthy consumption while Fasting Ramadan


When you feel weak and dizzy while performing fasting in the month of Ramadan, could be a result of food consumed when the meal is not quite right so it is not able to provide support to the body fluids that are fasting. Nutritionist dr. Wisnu Wardhanan reminded that during fasting the body loses a lot of fluids. Consume water during the meal break and is a necessity. "If you can eight glasses is a must," said Wisnu. In addition to drinking lots of water, you also have to perform and carry out the following tips to keep your body in shape while running fast.

The Food Must Be Consumpted:
1.       Polar consume enough water to avoid dehydration and fluid needs during fasting.
2.       Consumption of vitamin and electrolyte drinks, such as coconut water, to replace the electrolytes in the body during fasting.
3.       Eat fruits that contain lots of water, such as watermelon. Or if you want a practical, can also consume fruit juice.
4.       Increase consumption of foods rich in fiber.
5.       Consumption of the menu there is lots of complex carbohydrates in oats, brown rice, and yams. Types of foods that contain complex carbohydrates to stabilize blood sugar and can give full effect longer.

In addition, there are also a number of foods and beverages should be avoided during the meal, so that no adverse impact on the body during fasting:
The Food Must Be avoided:
1.       Drinks that stimulate gastric acid spending the coffee, alcoholic beverages, citrus fruits like orange juice that gives freshness of a moment, and milk.
2.       Difficult digest foods that can slow gastric emptying. For example, cake, chocolate, and cheese.
3.       Foods that are directly damage the walls of the stomach, foods that contain vinegar and spicy, pepper and spices as well as stimulating.
4.       Food that causes stomach fluid can go up into the esophagus include alcohol, chocolate, high fat foods, fried foods.
5.       Should be avoided as well, among other sweets. Particularly chewing gum and smoking because of high acid trigger.
Discipline by eating healthy and good foods and drinks during the fasting will make you stay in shape all day. Insya Allah.
