When we are doing the
Ramadan fast, automatically, we do not eat and drink almost 14 hours, but it
does not mean you can not maintain your health. Many people were defeated in
implementing Ramadan fasting. They carry a lot of complaining when fasting.
Most of their complaints are about limp and ulcer disease. This is obviously
due to the factor of faith is weak and they do not have any tips for staying
healthy in the month of Ramadan. Below are tips that can be implemented to keep
you healthy month of Ramadan.
1.
Carry out the intention of fasting
Ramadan
Intent
is what you must do before implement something. Without your charitable
intentions and efforts will be futile. Rasulullah SAW said "Innamal
a'maluu binniyaat" (everything is hanging by his intention). If you have
an intention to carry out the fast, then Insha Allah you will be able to carry
out the fast.
2.
Remember to having Sahur (meal)
If
you are never do this, get up and eat in the early morning is difficult. But
lest this reason you left the meal. In addition to the sunna, the meal is a
time where you can supply the energy to move from morning to evening later.
Even so, do not overeat. Focus on eating foods rich in complex carbohydrates,
protein, fruit or vegetables, and drink plenty of water.
3.
Do not jump to break in large portions.
Start
with soup, compote or other appetizers and wait for it to soak in the digestive
tract before the big meal.
4.
Water Prioritizing
Hydration
is the most important thing during Ramadan fasting. After breaking the fast,
you have to drink in large quantities. You also have to drink when having sahur
or meal. Hydration needs of the body is about 1.5 liters per day. Avoid to
consume tea, coffee, or soda in the evening. When visiting friends or family,
ask for water only. Provide a water well in the bedroom. This will keep you
consume 8 glasses of water per day so as not to dehydrate.
5.
Fixed Exercise
During
fasting, you can still exercise regularly. Do light exercise like walking for
15 to 20 minutes in the evening. This will help you stay in shape.
You have to believe
that Ramadan fasting in general have a positive impact on health. May our deeds
in this year getting better and obtain the blessing of Allah SWT Amiin.
